Gua Sha: the beauty tool to firm up the skin
What is gua sha?
The jade gua sha is a deep massage tool made of semi-precious stone. Used in the past by Chinese women to preserve a smooth and healthy skin, it stimulates the blood circulation in depth, allowing the skin cells to regenerate. Its shape is specially designed to follow the lines of the face, allowing to firm and lift the features. The skin is smoothed, the complexion is instantly more rosy and luminous, for a natural healthy glow and detoxified skin.
What types of skin can gua sha be used for?
All our gua sha have the benefits of sculpting the features, firming and toning the skin, illuminating the complexion and making the treatments penetrate.
According to lithotherapy, all stones have an affinity with skin types or needs of the moment. The jade collection is recommended for combination to oily skin, with imperfections, in search of detox and purification. This stone is known for its refreshing and purifying benefits for the skin.

Each jade gua sha is unique
Our jade gua sha are handcrafted in a 100% natural semi-precious stone. According to the ancestral tradition, the stones are manually cut by our master craftsmen. Due to the natural formations of the stone, each gua sha is unique, its color may vary slightly from a water green to an emerald green. This is quite normal and does not alter its effects. A golden hallmark "JR" is inscribed on all our gua sha to authenticate them.
Because it is made of natural stone, the gua sha jade remains cool in contact with the skin and helps to tighten and smooth the skin texture. In lithotherapy, it symbolizes luck and opportunities. The gua sha jade has multiple benefits:

For best results, we recommend using it 2 to 3 times a week (or more if you feel the need) on clean skin. Similar to a purge, massaging the face with the gua sha will allow the skin to be purified from within.
The ritual with the gua sha jade:
Start with a clean face and skin prepared with a few drops of the Plumping Gel Serum and oil your skin with a small amount of the Regenerating Face Balm to provide your face with the essential active ingredients and make it easier for your gua sha to glide on during the massage.
Keep the Gua Sha flat against the face and start with the forehead. Move with gentle but firm pressure from the eyebrows to the hairline.
Continue through the cheeks and glide in an outward motion from the crease of the nose to the ear.
Move to the jaw using the tip of the Jade Gua Sha with the heart hollow. Start at the chin and work your way up to the ear.
Gently massage the tips of the Gua Sha under the ear to release tension.
For the eye area, gently move the Gua Sha from the inner corner of the eye to the temple. Since the area is very sensitive, it is important to apply light pressure.
Finish with the neck with upward movements to lift and upward movements to finish the lymphatic drainage and eliminate toxins.
During and after the massage, your facial skin may become red. This is normal and is the result of the activation of the blood circulation and shows that you have done your massage correctly with the gua sha. However, the repeated movements should remain relatively gentle so as not to irritate the skin.
NB: For optimal results, each movement should be repeated 3 to 5 times per facial area.
Tip #1: Use the right skin care products
Boost the effectiveness of your skin care products! Before the facial massage, apply a few drops of our Plumping Gel Serum and a little of our Regenerating Face Balm to help the jade gua sha glide on and the skin care products penetrate.
Tip #2: Enhance the decongesting effect
You can put your jade gua sha in your refrigerator before using it for an extra cooling and decongesting effect. For more hygiene, you can store it in our gua sha case.
